This Report describes the design, construction, instrumentation and testing of a 1:11*5 scale model of a reactor pressure vessel, and the associated control tests. The prototype vessel, designed by the UKAEA, was of the type known as a six-panel ribbed sphere.nThe test programme was designed to investigate the structural behaviour of the vessel under pressure and temperature loading, both short- and long-term.nPredictions of elastic behaviour, made by the 'dynamic relaxation method, were found to agree well with measured results for short-term temperature and pressure loading.
