Copies of all available documents relating to the design, development, and testing of the IHX and steam generators were acquired, and reviewed. First-hand knowledge of the heat exchangers, instrumentation, and test operations was gained through visits to the manufacturers and the SCTI.nA major objective of the evaluation is a comparison of predicted perfor-mance with that observed during test. Because of the expected large amount of repetitive calculations, it was decided to utilize machine computations for this purpose to the maximum practical extent.
