摘要

An investigation has been made into some of the consequences of the opposing mass flow hypothesis within the supernova fragmentation model of solar system formation. The results of simple elastic-scattering an¬alysis indicate that in the particle collisions of the two clashing flows, heavy elements would tend to remain in orbit whereas hydrogen, though still gravitationally bound to the sun, would be removed from orbit.
