摘要

This report documents the technical evaluation of the Florida Power and Light Company's Turkey Point nuclear power plants, Units 3 and 4, to determine whether the failure of any non-Category I (seismic) equipment could result in a condition, such as flooding, that might potentially adversely affect the performance of safety-related equipment required for the safe shutdown of the facilities or to mitigate the consequences of an accident. Criteria developed by the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission were used to evaluate the acceptability of the existing protection as well as measures taken by Florida Power and Light Company to minimize the danger of flooding and to protect safety-related equipment.
