Collisional Quasiatoms, Facts and Speculations

摘要

A simple model for the positron, delta-electron and vacancy production in near supercritical systems is developed. A comparison is made to recent experiments which should lead into the supercritical domain. An experiment with deep inelastic reactions of U-U showed a diminishing production amplitude for positrons, contrary to expectation. An explanation is presented. The question of a relation between these deviations and others found in vacancy production is raised. (Atomindex citation 11:526282)
