Convenience Food Logistics Model (CFLM) Design

摘要

To study the logistical impact of using convenience food products in Navy foodservice systems, the convenience Food Logistics Model (CLFM) was developed as a management tool to perform such evaluations. The CFLM is primarily an optimization tool which takes food cost, labor and storage data from databases built into the system, a menu consisting of Armed Forces Recipe Service recipe items, and user supplies substitution percentages for various recipe categories to generate an optimal substituted menu. This report explains the assumptions and methodology used in the design of the model and its optimization process and well as the data bases and the model's data base management system.
