A DEEP-OCEAN SEDIMENT SAMPLER

摘要

The techniques and systems for construction in deep ocean areas must be developed to support the new concepts of Naval warfare. Knowledge of sea floor sediments, including their mechanical and biological properties, is needed to support studies of the behavior of materials in the deep ocean environment. Therefore, a scoop type bottom sediment sampler and its successful operation in deep as well as shallow waters is discussed.
