摘要

A preliminary report on geomagnetic research by the Soviet ship Mikhail Lomonosov, based on Soviet open literature is presented. The report includes all presently available pertinent information. The appendix contains the translation of an article on towed magnetometers considered to be significant enough to be rendered in its entirety.
