When an ethyl alcohol - water mixture is distilled in the presence of sodium chloride, the azeotropic mixture does not disappear.nAt small and medium concentrations of alcohol in the liquid phase, the enrichment of the vapor phase with the more volatile component proceeds more intensively when sodium chloride is present than in the binary mixture.
