Presented is a description of two FORTRAN programs for the static analysis of simple connected finite three-dimensional elastic solids. These methods are based on a surface integral form of Navier's elasticity equations and result either in a set of singular integral equations with Cauchy kernels, or in a set of regular integral equations for the unknown boundary values. Thus, the three-dimensional problem is effectively reduced to a two-dimensional problem. Over any portion of the boundary surface, eight combinations of the prescribed displacement and stress vector components are possible. The complement of these combinations is then calculated by the programs. Provision is made to obtain boundary stresses, interior stresses, strains, and displacements at any point in the body. The extension to linear viscoelasticity is discussed. (Author)
