Limiting Statistics of Fixed-Point Multiplication Errors in Digital Filters with Coefficients of Arbitrary Word Length.

A fixed-point multiplication error model is shown to exist for certain conditions on the multiplier input. This model can be used in the analysis of digital filters as used for signal processing in U.S. Navy sonar and radar equipment.
