摘要

The growing scientific and technological interest in amorphous metals prepared by rapid cooling from the melt prompts a continuing search for methods for their production in bulk quantities. To prepare thicker deposits directly from melt, it is desirable to upscale the droplet deposition approach used successfully in the gun technique. This can be done by plasma spraying which has been used to prepare metastable phases and enhanced solid solutions in the pioneering work by Moss and coworkers.
