Static Deformation of Rocks to 20KB Confining Pressure.

摘要

Unsupported vessels capable of operation at 20kb confining pressure were made. Seals,strain gauges,and jacketing of low porosity rocks worked successfully. Measurements of hydrostatic compression to 20kb were begun,and data on calcite rocks is given. Attempts to measure compression of Mixed Company sandstone in the 20kb system were hampered by sample preparation.
