The report investigates new frost proofing methods which in addition to economic advantages, inherent in laying shallower pipes networks, provide a great deal more freedom in the selection of pipe locations. This in turn opens new avenues for improved areal utilization, and the implication of necessary environmental considerations will be facilitated. (Author)
