An Experimental Investigation of a Radial Face Seal,

摘要

An experimental method was developed which will allow a complete description of the interface fluid film of a radial face seal. The equipment necessary for the monitoring of the vertical load,torque,temperature,supply pressure,interface pressure,interface clearance,and rotational speed has been integrated into a workable facility. The procedures needed for the operation of this equipment were derived and are presented.
