摘要

The contribution of organic solvent species toward flame spectrochemical signal enhancements in a laminar flow premixed oxygen-hydrogen flame has been investigated. Experiments using the emission signals generated by barium in water and in 90% methanol indicate that although enhancements arise from a combination of effects, reducing species produced by the organic solvent contribute significantly toward these enhancements. Comparative enhancement data obtained in premixed oxygen-acetylene and premixed nitrous oxide-acetylene flames are given, supporting these observations.
