Development of a Noise Reduction Cab for the U.S. Army 10,000 Lb. Rough Terrain Forklift Truck.

A noise control operator cab has been developed for the U.S. Army 10,000 Lb. Rough Terrain Forklift Truck (RTFT). The cab reduces noise at the operator's ear by 11 dB(A). Attenuation due to the cab appears to be limited primarily by vibrational excitation of the cab structure.
