Thin-Film Beam Splitter and Reflector for Optical Guided Waves.

摘要

This paper reports a simple method of achieving beam splitting and reflecting of a guided wave by creating an optical perturbation in the beam path to cause partial reflection and transmission of the beam. Two convenient schemes utilizing a groove and a ridge as the optical perturbation for amorphous light-guiding films such as organic and glass films, and for crystalline light-guiding films are described.
