Design Criteria for a Refractive Index/Wind Sensing Meteorological Dropsonde.

The configuration to be considered in the report is for an advanced dropsonde that will include several new options and will represent an improvement in performance over the previously discussed dropsonde with respect to several important criteria. The augmented capabilities of the advanced dropsonde include the achievement of continuous or near-continuous transmission of met data with real-time or near-real-time automatic processing,as well as provision for wind sensing,refractive index measurement and bathythermography.
