摘要

Unit administrators have historically been nurses, but due to recent changes designed to improve both the efficiency of administration and the quality of patient care, trained administrators are inserted into the Army Medical Centers organizational structure. The goal of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the selection process, the training program, and the subsequent job performance of unit administrators at an Army Medical Center. The author accomplishes this goal and makes recommendations about the future implementation fo the unit administrators concept in other Army Medical Centers.
