A Weighted Line-Finding Algorithm

This paper introduces two new algorithms to detect a line in a digitized picture. The algorithms are compared with the Hough algorithm, and their computational advantages are shown. We discuss the potential for, and the use of, the algorithms in applications, including the use of imagery in digital cartography. (Author)
