Simulators for Mariner Training and Licensing: Functional Specifications and Training Program Guidelines for a Maritime Cadet Simulator

This report contains a functional specification for a ship's bridge/shiphandling simulator to be used in the training of maritime academy cadets in selected watchstanding skills. Also contained is cost information regarding the acquisition and operation of such a simulator. Training program guidelines are provided to assist the maritime academies in the implementation of a ship's bridge/shiphandling simulator within the existing academy curriculum. (Author)
