摘要

Measurements of the mean and turbulent microwave refractive index profiles have been carried out in conjunction with troposcatter radio tests. These measurements have been performed in diverse geographic and atmospheric environments. The mean profiles are the result of radiosonde measurements while the structure function profiles are the result of refractometer measurements on aircraft. Results of these measurements are being used in a ray trace propagation model to characterize the atmospheric influence on troposcatter radio communication.
