摘要

A lack of reliable mesoscale data within convective cells has hampered the meteorologist's understanding of the inner workings of thunderstorms. Researchers have realized that convection impacts larger scale features, Maddox (1980), but past studies of energetics of convective storms have focused on the storm environment usign rawinsonde data: see studies by Fuelberg and Scoggins (1978). Vincent and Schlatter (1979), and Fuelberg and Trinty (1984), Kinematic ffeaturs and dynamic processed within the convective cell were generally inferred from these studies. This styd will utilized highly reliable retrieved thermodynamic variables, Gal-Chen (1978), for investigation the kinematic and dynamic features of a convetive cell at time periods 1630 and 1634 CST. the goal is an ehanced understanding of the energetic processes within the convective cell.
