Archaeological Survey, Initial Site Testing, Geomorphology, and Pollen Analysis along lower Portion of Ditch 1 Poinsett County, Arkansas.

Combinations of survey strategies including pedestrian transects and screened shovel tests at 30 meter intervals were utilized depending upon the surface visibility. Four sites were discovered within the project right-of-way and one site was found just outside. Of these, three were subject to testing: The Phillips site 3P0493, The Ritter Pecan Grove Site 3P0495, and The Cooper Estate Site 3P0494.
