This report documents a Local Network (LAN) study. The study developed and evaluated LAN alternatives for U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters, Washington DC. Alternatives studied were: Data Switch, Broadband, Baseband, and Hybrid (Broadband/Baseband). Study recommendation: Hybrid LAN. Volume I contains the main body of the report. This volume contains evaluation and costs relative to alternatives studied.
