Main Battle-Tank Fire Control Systems Weapon System Response to Control HandleCommands

The purpose of this test is to determine the weapon system response to controlhandle input commands. In particular, the neutral zone (input command without weapon movement) with backlash, the steady-state weapon response to input commands and the required input force are to be determined. In this ITOP, the control handle is the input device. Other input devices (e.g., force controller or 'joy stick') may be tested when supported with appropriate instrumentation for measuring these inputs.
