CF Forced to Close Alberta NH3 Plant

Medicine Hat-CF Industries last week announced that it has been forced to shut down its 625,000-t/y No. 1 joint venture ammonia plant at Medicine Hat, Alberta. The plant had been down briefly for minor repairs and was in the process of restarting when additional damage to some internal components was discovered. The plant was closed immediately.
