White Martins Building ASU to Supply Braskem's PVC Expansion in Alagoas

Sao Paulo-White Martins is building a new cryogenic on-site air separation plant that will supply an expansion of Braskem's polyvinyl chloride (PVC) capacity in Alagoas, Brazil (PCN, 11 Apr 2011, p 1). White Martins, a subsidiary of Praxair, has signed a 15-year agreement for the supply of nitrogen and oxygen to Braskem. The air separation plant, which will also be operated by White Martins, will have 200 t/d of capacity.
