Air Liquide Building Kstovo ASU To Supply RusVinvl PVC Project

Nizhnv Novgorod-Air Liquide said it will build and operate a state-of-the-art air separation unit (ASU) in Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, that will supply RusVinyl's new polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plant being built in Kstovo (PCN, 2 Aug 2010, p 2). Air Liquide will invest ?60-million in an ASU with a capacity of more than 350 t/d of oxygen. The unit, scheduled to start up at the end of 2012, will also supply nitrogen and compressed dry air to RusVinyl, as well as "a large quantity" of liquid air gases to industrial customers in the region.
