Obama appoints CropLife America's Siddiqui as chief agricultural negotiator

One day after the Senate adjourned on March 26, President Obama announced his intent to make 15 recess appointments, including Islam Siddiqui, vice president for science and regulatory affairs at CropLife America, as chief agricultural negotiator in the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative.
