Australia is making significant progress in developing a coordinated response to climate change with many existing policies and measures already addressing greenhouse gas emissions from key industry sectors. The development of possible instruments such as emissions trading is also under active consideration, reported Gwen Audrews, Chief Executive of the Australian Greenhouse Office (AGO) at a recen temissions trading conference in London.
