Interviewing potential candidates for opportunities within your organisation can be a risky business in the minefield which is today's employment market. Network Recruitment's MD Marilize Erasmus says that legislation introduced, coupled with the Employment Equity policy, Skills development requirements and the Labour Relations Act; has left organisations reeling with uncertainty about what they may and may not do or ask during their recruitment drives. "Our consultants are often requested to assist clients with evaluating their company's internal recruitment process, in order to ensure it complies with all the legal requirements," she says. "Clients rely on us to update them on any changes in legislation, as they find it hard to keep abreast of new developments themselves."
