Shaun Polczer, CALGARY: The shift in North America's oil supply is starting to catch up with Canada's oil-sands sector. The rapid increase in tight oil and liquids volumes from unconventional basins in Canada and the US prompted Suncor Energy to delay a number of planned production expansions. Suncor, the world's largest oil-sands producer, said the expansions planned at the Fort Hills, Joslyn and Voyageur projects, all operated under joint ventures with French major Total, were worth a total of C$20 billion ($20.07 billion).
