Ugandan oil plans struggle with lower oil prices

The Ugandan government has launched its first oil licensing round, but delays are expected in the start of production. Interest in the round, which is for six blocks in the Lake Albert basin, has been muted because of the fall in crude prices and investor concerns about the slow development of existing fields in the basin. Uganda plans to award the blocks by the end of this year.
