The Nigerian government’s oil savings account has fallen below$2.5bn from $11.5bn at the end of 2012.The excess crude account is used to hold oil earn-ings above those expected in the national budget.The fall in the savings cannot be accounted for by losses from oil theft and pipeline vandalism,the country’s central bank says.
