Chinese oil firms raise dollar debt

Chinese oil companies are on course for their largest-ever issuance of US-denominated debt this year.Oil and gas companies have issued$11.98bn of dollar bonds in the year to date com-pared with$14.5bn for the whole of 2013,US-based research firm Dealogic says.Dollar debt issuance last year was the largest on record by Chinese oil and gas firms because it was,and still is, cheaper to raise money overseas than on the domestic bond market.
