Two mates, two XR2s and two very different power units... The trusty and sporting Mk2 XR2 has much to recommend it. Despite the fact that it's been around for almost 27 years it still, somehow, manages to defy the ageing process. Sure, if parked next to one of the latest generation Fiestas, the XR2's shape and design cues are obviously rooted in the 1980s Yet, it is still a fine looking car with masses of cred. The chunky wheels, body kit, neat decaling, and general stance, all help give the XR2 masses of appeal, and being well set up and equipped with decent tyres, it's also a damned good drive.
