BUDGET BLASTERS: The Budget Challenge arrives at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground with cleaning products at the ready

After a few false starts, a couple of technical glitches and a lot of stalling, the Budget Challenge is underway. The good news is that all the protagonists made it to Bruntingthorpe in one piece although in the case of Morley's Chavriolet, it was a close run thing thanks to a very leaky fuel pressure regulator. Quite how the Escort completed the journey without bursting into flames we'll never know, although one answer is that Ben managed to inhale all the fumes before they came into contact with anything flammable. The other near casualty was Al's Scorpio which was mindlessly vandalised the night before by hooligans who thought it would be funny to cover it with tape and old bottles of fizzy drink. Outrageous. Absolutely outrageous...
