Tough,peelable temporary surface protection for FRP mould and mouldings

A new peelable,tough,temporary protective coating called 'Crystic Mouldguard~R' has been introduced by Scott Bader Co.The product has been designed for ease of application and provides an easily removable coating for FRP moulds and mouldings to guard against the detrimental effects of storage or transportation during periods.Moulded products and de-commissioned moulds are often stored outside where they are subject to UV light,frost,standing water,dirt and verdigris attack,as well as general handling damage and surface scratches.This can lead to time and cost wasted on general repairs,including cleaning and polishing of gelcoat mould surfaces prior to reuse.However,it is generally accepted that the original quality of surface finishes can very rarely be successfully recreated under these conditions.
