摘要

Sticky contaminants,or 'stiekies',as they are generally called in the paper recycling industry are mainly from pitch,plastic films,converting aids,paper coating and adhe-sives.According to their particle size stickies are classified as macrostickies,microstickies,colloidal and dissolved stickies as follows:Sticky contaminants retained on 150 mu m (0.006 in)slotted screens or 100 mu m (0.004 in )slotted screens are referred to as macrostickies.Sticky contaminants,which pass the 100 mu m.slotted screen are classified as micro stickies or potential secondary stickies.The particle size for microstickies is defined to >1 mu m to <100 mu m.For disco stickies-dissolved and colloidal stickies-the particle size is set in the range of <2.5 mu m-~ 0.01 mu m.
