Gold Medal awarded to James Cropper

The Paper Industry Gold Medal Association has announced that the award for 2011 has gone to James Cropper. Cropper stood down as chairman of the board of James Cropper plc in July last year, by which point he had been in the post almost 40 years. He was the fifth generation of his family to run the company. The Gold Medal will be presented at the Charter Dinner of the Stationers' Company on 4 May.
