When it comes to giving passengers somewhere to park, airports are facing something of a quandary. A huge rise in customer numbers is widely predicted, which means more parking spaces will be needed. But many UK airports are already close to bursting point. Squeezing in a few more bays here and there will not be enough if government predictions prove correct. Some 230m passengers used UK airports last year, and this is set to rise to 600m by 2030, according to the Aviation White Paper.
