A 30-year-old healthy female with no family history of movement disorders was referred to our department due to abnormal movements and incoordination in the right leg while dancing. An avid dancer, she moved from Japan to Spain five years ago and has practiced flamenco for many hours a day over the last ten years.Sometime during her seventh year dancing flamenco, she began to note "mistakes" in her right foot while performing zapateado, a rapid flamenco tap dance. She complained of lack of control in her right leg (especially the foot) but only when performing this step; in other respects she was able walk, run, and perform other dance steps normally. The patient first noted this difficulty after long practice sessions; she had problems in zapateado at the beginning of the session and faced increased difficulty when repeating steps. She presented with external deviation of her right foot during zapateado [Video].Supplementary video related to this article can be found at doi: 10.1016/j.parkreldis.2010.12.001.
