Tamil Nadu proposes setting solar power to generate 1000 mw of solar power

WITH an aim to generate 1000 mw of solar power in next five years, Tamil Nadu government has proposed to set up solar powered parks. The project is estimated to involve Rs 1,000 crore, said Industries minister P Thangamani.Meanwhile, as per the proposal, the solar parks would be set across the area of 500 acres in the southern parts of the state.
