Environment Workshop

THE Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), conducted a Sensitization workshop at St. Joseph's Convent Senior Secondary School Idgah hills. This workshop was organized with the twin objectives to create awareness amongst school students on the importance of biodiversity conservation and to spread information about the 'GREEN Olympiad 2010, which is India's premier international examination on environment. This examination is being held annually since 1999 for the students from standard 8,9, and 10. The broad aim of the examination is to expand environment education at both the national level and international level. The examination is designed in an innovative manner to test the knowledge of students in the field of environment and in turn create awareness about critical environmental issues. The examination culminates in TERRA Quiz, a televised quiz that is aired on national channel.
