摘要

Free-standing poly( para-phenylene) (PPP) filmswith tensile strength of 30-50 MPa and conductivity in the orderof l0-3 S cm-1 have been electrosynthesized by direct oxidation ofbenzene at a stainless steel electrode in a composite solvent ofboron trifluoride diethyl etherate (BFEE) and concentratedsulfuric acid. The films were very shiny and flexible. The structureand morphology of the films were also studied by FT-infraredspectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy.
