摘要

The extraction behaviour of phosphine oxides cyanex-923 and cyanex-925 with beryllium (II) and aluminium (III) is described alongwith their separation from each other. The quantitative extraction of Be (II) and Al (III) with cyanex 923 in toluene was found in the pH range 7.0-8.0 and 5.5-6.5 respectively, while. with cyanex 925 in the pH range 6.0-6.5 and 5.0-6.0 respectively. From organic phase of cyanex 923 and cyanex 925. Be (II) was stripped back from both with 0.5M NaOH while Al (III) with 1.0 M HCl and 1.5 M HCl respectively. The extraction of both the metal ions was also studied separately as function of pH, temperature, equilibrium time and stripping ability using various acids and bases. Based on these results sequential methods of separation were developed for Be(II) and Al(III).
