摘要

The landscape provides us with a rare privilege: it preserves, it endures and it registers. It is the bearer of information both in its being and its non-being, or rather, no longer being. It consists of a wealth of layers of sediment. Our task is todecipher the real aspect and obtain information about the place, its geography and history. On the basis of this knowledge, this understanding, we can work out the future, which is the growth and evolution of the landscape, not according to the logic oferasure or replacement but to that of dialogue and a possible hybrid form. The guiding principle of the project procedure is to track down the foundations of the landscape discovered at the beginning and, building upon them, to develop new content or anew orientation.
