Perhaps one of the highest compliments an employer can receive is the loyalty of his employees. It sends up red balloons (as opposed to red flags) when many of them have spent most of their working career with only one employer. It must certainly be areflection of the boss man's character and perseverance. Sammy Keyton, owner of Keyton Logging, is just such a boss man. At 63, he has spent his entire career as a contractor for basically one company, Brunswick Pulp and Paper, which was absorbed into Georgia-Pacific in the late 1980s. In 1999 Georgia-Pacific named Keyton the Southern Region Outstanding Logging Contractor in recognition of his quality woods performance, adherence to BMP guidelines and exceptional safety record.
